Ingredients:
- 2 2/3 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups uncooked old-fashioned grits
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 4 Tbsp. butter, cubed
- 2 tsp. chicken bouillon granules
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup bacon bits
Directions:
- Combine the first six ingredients in a greased 3-quart slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low until liquid is absorbed and grits are tender, 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring every 45 minutes.
- Stir in cheeses until melted. Do a toppings bar with bacon bits, cheese or chives to kick it up.
