Machinery demonstrations at Ag Progress Days

ROCK SPRINGS, Pa. — One of the highlights of Ag Progress Days each year are the live demonstrations of production agriculture technology in the latest machinery and equipment.

The annual farm show runs Aug. 14-16 at the Russell E. Larson Ag Research Center in Rock Springs, Pa.

Penn State faculty and company representatives will be on hand to answer questions before and after the demos, which are approximately one hour in length.

Show and Tell will feature multiple tractor brands, planters and drills, and other equipment presently on the market.

The lineup

This year’s demonstrations include:

Alfalfa Hay Mowing: Daily 10:30 a.m.

Show & Tell Tractors: Daily 11:30 a.m.

Show & Tell Planters and Drills: Daily 12:30 p.m.

Hay Rakes & Tedders: Daily 1:30 p.m.

High-Moisture Alfalfa Hay Baling: Daily 2 p.m.

Hay Handling & Wrapping: Daily 3 p.m.

A custom demonstration area is available adjacent to show grounds where commercial exhibitors rent an area to demonstrate their own equipment throughout the days of the show. Demonstrations may include ride and drive of new tractors or sprayers with GPS or hands-free operation.
