At Sweet Violet Farm, in Leroy, West Virginia, Violet Maston is sharing her love of flowers, with more than 50 varieties that she sells to florists and directly to customers.

The West Virginia Department of Agriculture honored Violet Maston, of Jackson County, as a recipient of the 2022 West Virginia Women in Agriculture Award. 

Katie Fitzsimmons, farmer and Natural Resources Conservation Service district conservationist, is one of four women who recently received the 2021 West Virginia Women in Agriculture award.

The Pumpkin Patch at Valley Bend Farm in Marshall County, West Virginia, is owned by Betty Hickey, a 2017 Women in Agriculture award winner.
