Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 cup thick sour cream
Directions
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives. Add eggs and sour cream gradually. Chill dough at least 2 hours or longer. Roll out; cut with cookie cutters and bake in hot oven at 425° until set and barely golden on bottom, not brown. Check in 5 minutes.
