Ingredients
- 3 onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3 cups beef stock
- 2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 1 cup potatoes, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup green beans, diced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In large kettle, saute onions in butter until tender. Stir in beef and garlic and saute until browned. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer at least one hour.
