Ingredients
- 1 orange, juice and grated zest
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 6 cups flour, sifted
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- Icing:
- 1 orange
- 1 tablespoon butter or oleo
- 1 lb. confectioners? sugar
Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Stir soda and baking powder with flour and add to creamed mixture alternating with sour milk. Stir in orange juice and zest and nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° 12 to 18 minutes.
Icing:
Mix ingredients until smooth. Put on while cookies are still warm.
