Ingredients
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 shortening, chilled
- 2/3 evaporated milk
Directions
Preheat oven to 425°. Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk all at once and stir until dough follows fork around bowl. Place dough on lightly floured surface, gently patting out dough to 3/4-inch thick. Use either small biscuit cutter or knife which works quite well in getting desired size and a unique shape. They can be cut into miniature diamonds or any shape desired. Bake at 425° 10 to 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.
Especially great with ham. Yield 18-20 tiny biscuits.
