Ingredients
- 1/2 butter or margarine
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions
In 2 quart saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and add with coconut and nuts to brown sugar mixture. Mix thoroughly. Spread in greased 15x10x1-inch pan. Bake at 350° 25 minutes. Cut into bars while warm. Makes 3 dozen.
