Ingredients
- 1/4 soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons salad oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 dashes hot red pepper sauce
- dash of ground cloves
- 1 lb. lean pork tenderloin or beef sirloin, cut into bite-size thin strips
- 1 small fresh pineapple, peeled and cut in bite-size chunks
- 1 medium green pepper, cleaned and cut in squares (3/4-inch)
Directions
Combine first 7 ingredients in bowl; mix. Add meat; mix. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours, stirring 2 or 3 times. Drain meat, reserving marinade. String meat, pineapple and green pepper on heavy bamboo skewers. Arrange on cooking grill and cook 5 to 10 minutes for beef and 10 to 15 minutes for pork, or until meat is done, basting with marinade during cooking time. Turn 2 or 3 times. Protect hand with asbestos glove before turning kabobs.
