Ingredients
- 3/4 peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups low-fat milk
- 1 (3.9 oz.) pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 16 whole graham crackers
Directions
Remember the first step is to always wash hands before preparing food. Line a 9×13-inch pan with foil. Using an electric mixer, blend peanut butter and milk until smooth. Slowly beat in chocolate pudding mix until blended. Fold in whipped topping. Pour into prepared pan and freeze until firm. Break graham crackers into squares. Lift pudding from pan and cut into 16 pieces, about 2 1/2-inches square. Place each pudding square between two graham crackers. Cover puddingwiches in plastic wrap and freeze.
Helpful Hints: Lift the pudding from the pan using the foil as a ?handle. Place it on a cutting board and use a graham cracker as a pattern when cutting the frozen pudding into squares. Work quickly to make the puddingwiches before the pudding mixture starts to thaw.
Safety Tips: Adult supervision is important for young children using an electric mixer. For example, children need to learn: (1) When mixing, keep beaters on the bottom of the bowl and the bowl scraper away from the beaters. (2) Make sure the beaters come to a full stop before raising them out of the pudding. (3) When resting the mixer on its base, let the beaters hang over the bowl so they can drip into it and not on the counter.
Before sharing puddingwiches with others, remember this recipe contains a common children?s allergen peanuts.
