Ingredients
- 1 1/2 s boiling water
- 1 quick oats
- 1 semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 soft oleo
- 3/4 brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- Coffee Frosting:
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules, dissolved in 1/4 cup warm cream or milk
- Add rest of ingredients:
- 1/2 soft oleo
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 4 s powdered sugar
Directions
In bowl, combine water and oats. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, do not stir. Let stand 20 minutes. In another bowl, cream together oleo, sugar and eggs (one at a time). Beat in oat mixture. Add soda, salt and flour. Pour in 13×9 pan and bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350°.
