Ingredients
- 2 s chopped hazelnuts or nuts of your choice
- 1/4 sugar
- 4 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 milk chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. In blender or food processor, blend 1 1/2 cups nuts with sugar until nuts are ground. Combine ground nuts with melted margarine or butter. In 9 inch square pan press mixture firmly on bottom. Bake 15-18 minutes or until edges are golden.
In sauce pan bring sweetened condensed milk and 2 tablespoons margarine or butter to boil over medium – low heat, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes or until mixture thickens. Stir in vanilla. Carefully spoon over hot nut crust. Bake 12 minutes or until golden.
After removing pan from oven, sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let stand 2 minutes; spread chocolate evenly over top. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup nuts. Place on wire rack and allow to cool; when cool, refrigerate until set, about 3-4 hours. To serve cut dessert into squares.
