Ingredients
- Crust:
- 4 s flour
- 1 3/4 s butter Crisco
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- water
- Filling:
- 6 s apples, sliced
- 1/2 can whole cranberry sauce
- 1 sugar
- 1/4 chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon tapioca
- cinnamon
Directions
Crust:
Cut butter Crisco, salt and sugar into flour. In measuring cup, put egg, vinegar and enough water to make 3/4 cup. Add to flour mixture and mix to make dough. Makes 4 shells or two pies.
Filling:
Mix and pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cover with top crust; makes slits in top crust to vent. Bake at 400° until juice seeps out of top crust, about 45 minutes or more.
