ORWELL, Ohio – Two local meetings are scheduled to help area farmers and landowners better understand the new federal Farm Bill, according to Richard Montgomery, from the Trumbull County Farm Bureau.
The first meeting will be Sept. 23, 8 p.m. at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds in Bazetta, Ohio. Keith Stimpert, of Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, will be the speaker.
Stimpert will cover the major features of the bill.
The second meeting will be Oct. 2, 1 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Patty Davis, of Trumbull County Farm Service Agency, will discuss the application of the bill.
Both meetings are open to the public and free.
