NEW MARSHFIELD, Ohio – Gary Ericsson has been training and trialing stock dogs for more than 30 years.
Pages could be filled with the various championships he has won throughout the United States with stockdogs.
Ericsson will bring his technique to Ohio for a clinic May 9-10 in New Marshfield, Athens County.
The clinic will be held at Lavelle Farms, 3078 Fox Lake Road.
All levels. Ericsson works with each dog and handler several times throughout the clinic. Beginners are welcome as well as the seasoned handler.
Dog-broke cattle and sheep will be available for the clinic.
Arenas, round corrals and pastures will be used depending on the experience of the dog and handler.
Trailer loading and general farm and ranch work with dogs will be covered. A timed arena trial will be held with obstacles.
Cost. The cost is $150.00 per dog for both days. There are only a limited number of dogs being accepted to allow for more individual attention.
Auditors can participate for $15 daily or $25 for the entire clinic.
Registration deadline is April 18.
