CREOLA, Ohio – A limited number of seats remain in a free-range poultry workshop at Resilience’s Locust Grove Research Farm in southern Ohio May 10-12.
The three-day, hands-on course is taught by Herman Beck-Chenoweth.
Participants will learn basic and advanced methods of incubation, brooding and field operations used to produce poultry and eggs using the Modern American Free-Range System.
In addition to classroom sessions, there will be a poultry slaughter using medium-scale commercial equipment. Marketing farm products directly to restaurants and consumers will also be addressed.
