NEWARK, Ohio – The East Central Ohio New and Small Farm College will present short courses for new landowners and those wishing to make an income on a few acres.
The classes will be held at Miller’s Essenplatz restaurant in Newark, Jan. 22, 29, Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26 and March 5, 12, 17, 19.
Topics. The course will cover many of the aspects of business planning, resource assessment, legal issues, business enterprise opportunities for this area and marketing alternatives.
The cost of the program is $150 per person and $50 for additional family members. The fee includes a resource notebook, soil test, refreshments and a small farm tour. The program is open to the public and requires reservations.
