The Crop Disaster Program is available to producers who suffered crop losses in crop year 2000 due to natural disasters. Producers are eligible for compensation for 2000 crop losses directly attributed to adverse weather and related conditions.
The Quality Loss Program compensates producers who suffered at least a 20 percent loss in the quality of their crop due to weather-related disasters during the 2000 crop year.
Combined total payments issued for QLP and CDP are limited to $80,000 per person, as defined by USDA regulations. Payments to producers for both programs began soon after the sign ups commenced one year ago.
For more information on the programs, contact your local USDA Service Center or Farm Service Agency office.
