COSHOCTON, Ohio – The Roscoe Village video, “Ditches of Destiny,” depicting the history of the Ohio & Erie Canal, has been selected as the national winner of the 2001 Aegis Award in documentaries.
The tape was produced by Gene Warman Production Services Inc. of Columbus and is a wide screen digital production that may be viewed by guests in Roscoe Village.
The Aegis Awards are a national video production competition based in East Greenwich, Conn. A series of judges, who have been former award recipients, score each video on a complex formula that automatically adjusts for a number of production elements.
Elements included in the formula are scripting, narration and music, videography, graphics, editing and total effectiveness. The documentary category is one of eight areas in which entries are judged.
