COLUMBUS – The state of Ohio has released $251,850 to the Little Beaver Creek Nature Preserve to purchase 1,350 acres of a conservation easement in Columbiana County.
The land will be purchased from three property owners and will be broken into 6.7 acres, 114.48 acres, and 1,228.2 acres.
The Little Beaver Creek State Nature Preserve and Wild and Scenic River is located in the southeast corner of Columbiana County. Little Beaver Creek was designated as Ohio’s first wild and scenic river in 1974.
