MEDINA, Ohio – A little known gem is tucked away on the former Medina County dairy farm of Carl Abell.
An event in July, however, will spotlight Abell’s Ice Cream and Dairy Museum, 1050 Lafayette Rd., Medina.
Carl and Sherry Abell are hosting the Midwest Milkman’s Reunion and the 2003 convention of the Detroit Industrial Vehicle Company (DIVCO) Club of America.
Activities run July 17-20 at the Abell’s Elm Farm in Medina, Ohio.
All invited. Former milkmen, their families and the public are invited to attend this event, sponsored by the DIVCO Club of America.
The DIVCO truck is the most recognized milk truck.
Bring your truck. If you have a milk truck, you can bring it to the convention.
Many other activities are planned such as the antique milk truck parade, exhibits, and related flea market and show/sale.
America’s Ice Cream and Dairy Museum at Elm Farm has also planned museum tours and tours of other nearby attractions.
