NORTH LIMA, Ohio – The Canfield Harness Horsemen’s Association will sponsor a mantinee at the Canfield Fairgrounds June 3 at 1:30 p.m. Horses participating may be young and preparing to race, or older and will be qualifying for either Northfield or Meadows.
Grandstand seating is free and the event is open to the public.
Free tickets. At the matinee, the Walk Your Way to the Races program will be kicked off. This program will offer free admissions to the Canfield Fair.
To win, you must pick up a card at the June 3 matinee, and then visit the speed barns 20 times between June 3 and Aug. 24, and have a horseman sign the card.
The first 12 cards returned to the vendor’s windows at the fairgrounds office Aug. 24 will receive a free ticket. Other entries will go into a drawing for other prizes.
Memberships to the Canfield Harness Horsemen’s Association cost $10 per year. More information will be available at the mantinee.
