NEW ORLEANS – Carol Ann Gregg of Grove City, Pa., received the Outstanding Service Citation from the National Association of Agricultural Educators during the group’s annual conference.
From 1983-85, Gregg served as a volunteer on the Governor’s Task Force for Agriculture in the Classroom. A foundation was established for the program in 1991 in Pennsylvania and Gregg served on the board of directors and then became the coordinator for the state foundation.
Through this program, 760 educators are trained to incorporate agriculture across their curriculum. These teachers have touched over 260,000 students with agricultural information since the first workshop in 1992.
Most of Gregg’s volunteer time is used in the agricultural community. Professionally, she represents the Agriculture Awareness Foundation. She also works with the Ag in the Classroom summer workshop for teachers and worked with the Reinventing Agricultural Education for the Year 2020 project.
Gregg helps conduct Ag in the Classroom, presentations, educational seminars and workshops.
The association presents the Outstanding Service Citation to individuals who have contributed to the advancement of agricultural education on a regional or national level.
