DOVER, Ohio – The J.E. Reeves Victorian Home and Carriage House Museum, located at 325 East Iron Avenue in Dover, is decorated for Christmas and open for tours through Dec. 22 from 12-8 p.m. daily.
Each of the 17 rooms of the mansion are adorned with new decorations. All tours are guided and begin in the Carriage House that is decorated with typical Victorian paper ornaments.
Here visitors can browse through historical displays, view the many wheeled vehicles owned by the Reeves family and visit the Carriage House Gift Shop.
The kitchen of the mansion will feature a WW I victory theme. The library in enhanced with the use of dried products from nature. The garlands and trees in the second-floor ballroom sparkles with all the characters from the Nutcracker Ballet and a 12-foot Christmas Tree.
Admission costs $5 for adults, $4 for groups of 15 or more and $2 for children 5-17. Groups of 15 or more should make reservations.
