Farm Bureau offers equine education

COLUMBUS – Two Equine Education Conferences will be hosted by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation Dec. 11 in Perrysburg and Jan. 15 in Marietta.
“These meetings include important information that horse owners won’t find at most other equine events,” said David White, OFBF director of commodity relations.
Topics. Topics include line fence laws, agricultural zoning, current Agricultural Use Valuation and agricultural districts, animal health, environmental regulations, equine liability, manure management, tax issues, equine business principles and pasture and hay management.
The Perrysburg meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn – French Quarter on U.S. 20. The Marietta meeting will be held at the Lafayette Hotel on Front Street.
For both meetings, registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast. The program begins at 9:15 a.m. and adjourns at 4 p.m.
Registration deadlines. Lunch is included in the registration. Advance registration is due Nov. 29 for the Perrysburg meeting and Jan. 2 for the Marietta session. Cost is $25 in advance for Farm Bureau members and $40 for nonmembers.
Registration past the due date or on day of the conference is $35 for Farm Bureau members and $50 for nonmembers.
