TRANSFER, Pa. – A set of 18th century silver bandsmen playing instruments brought $8,500 at an auction Nov. 24 at Reimold Brothers Auction Center in Transfer, Pa.
Two diamond pendants also brought $2,400 and $2,100, respectively at the estate auction.
High-selling furniture items included an assembled set of eight American Sheraton Windsor side and arm chairs with bamboo turned spindles and rakish legs, which brought $175 each; a continuous carved walnut frame arm chair with down cushion, $400; and an 18th century ladies rosewood veneer writing desk with sliding writing surface and marble platform, $475.
Other items included a Reed and Barton sterling flatware service for 12 set, $1,300; Edison cylinder player and cylinders, $750; and a J.P. France small cracker jar with pansy motif, $425.
