EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – The East Liverpool Museum of Ceramics is presenting a four-week lecture series concentrating on local history.
The “Our Backyard History” lecture series will be held at 7 p.m. for four consecutive Thursdays, starting Oct. 4.
Lectures will include:
* Oct. 4 – “Mahoning Memories” by H. William Lawson from the Arms Family Museum of Local History;
* Oct. 11 – “(More than you ever wanted to know about) The Fighting McCooks” by Martha Jones from McCook House Civil War Museum;
* Oct. 18 – “Columbiana County and Ohio’s 200th Birthday Celebration” by Lori Gilk of the Ohio Bicentennial Commission;
* Oct. 25 – “Local Lore and the Occasional Ghost” by Mike Follin of the Ohio Historical Society.
Cost of the lectures is $20 for the entire series, and preregistration is required.
