CARROLLTON, Ohio – The Carroll County Antique Collectors Club is sponsoring its second annual three-day antique power show at the fairgrounds in Carrollton Aug. 24, 25 and 26.
This year’s show will feature the collection of restored antique crawler tractors owned by Howard Bowers of Steubenville, Ohio.
In addition to tractors on display by owners from several states, the show will also display working antique well drilling equipment, a shingle-making machine, a sawmill and a display of hit and miss engines running from the 1800s.
There will be a flea market, craft show and tractor parts sale.
Schedule. Saturday morning at 9:30 is an antique auction selling antique tractors, equipment, and other items. Saturday and Sunday will feature a large car show with a D.J. on both days.
Saturday evening will also feature a concert by the professional Stark County Fair Band. The band under the direction of Dr. Lee Brooks and band manager Pat Kroft will perform in the grandstand from 4-7 p.m.
Friday evening at 6 p.m. there will be two tractor pulls at the same time in front of the grandstands. New this year will be a garden tractor pull Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
There are many games for the audience to participate in, including: ladies’ skillet toss, men’s hale bay toss, tractor musical chairs, and blindfolded tractor driver’s obstacle course.
