CARROLLTON, Ohio – Many new prospective buyers from Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and North Carolina attended a firearms auction May 3 in Carrollton, Ohio.

Auctioneer Larry Garner’s high sell was a 1852 Sharps Carbine at $1,475.

Other high sellers included a Civil War 1863 U.S. Trenton Armory .58-caliber rifle, $650; Winchester 1897 12-gauge trench gun, $1,350; Winchester 63 .22-caliber, $1,300; Winchester 62 rare British proof .22-caliber, $510;

Winchester 77, $420; Winchester 55, $525; Remington 700, 6 millimeter with leopold scope, $525; Ruger No. 3, .22 caliber Hornet, $450; Remington 700 youth model, $375; Browning Buckmark .22-caliber special edition, $275;

Marlin 39 Takedown .22-caliber, $450; and a Remington 11-87 12 gauge, $450.
