Presentation by Judith Bosau-Allen for Portage County Historical Society
On Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. the Portage County Historical Society will be hosting a presentation by Judith Bosau-Allen entitled “Words Most Noted: Reactions to and Legacies of the Gettysburg Address.” This program coincides with the 152nd commemoration of President Abraham Lincoln’s speech at the dedication of the National Soldiers’ Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Bosau-Allen has a Bachelor’s in History from Kent State University and a Master’s in History from the University of Akron. She has done work on her doctorate in History at UA and taught numerous courses at KSU, UA and Mount Union College. Also, she is a resident of Deerfield, OH and member of Portage Community Chapel.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. The Historical Society is located at 6549 N. Chestnut Street in Ravenna, Ohio.
