Take a walk with Dennis Lepel at Lakestone Family Farm as we take a look at how he markets his diverse farm from production to pricing. Dennis grows a wide variety of vegetables, produces pasture-raised eggs and chickens which he markets through local farm markets and his CSA. His pasture-raised broilers are processed on-site, and sold as whole birds and as a variety of prepackaged cuts to maximize profitability. Joining us will be John Wilhelm from the BCS shop from Hector, NY, who will demonstrate some BCS attachments that may be just what a farm needs to increase efficiencies.
Registration fees are $15/person or $25 for two or more people/farm. This event is sponsored by NOFA-NY through funding from the USDA-AMS FMPP Marketing grant. To register call 585-271-1979.
