It has been a year since I started working with Farm and Dairy. One of the greatest pleasures of my job has been finding out who reads us so I know who I’m writing for. I’m truly grateful to you for reading and responding to our articles and recipes. We need to know if you like what you see in our pages.
In addition to planning the “family” pages, I’ve been half heartedly working on a new Farm and Dairy cookbook to come out later this year. Although our original deadline for recipes submission has passed, since we fell short, I’m asking you again, for recipes for the cookbook.
All of you who read these pages regularly – some family, friends, neighbors, and many of you have contributed with recipes and correspondence all year – look into your files of foods you fix and find us us a couple of recipes that everyone might not have but you think they ought to have.
Our cookbook will be so much more interesting if it represents our many readers with their names and hometowns. Please send your submission as soon as possible and note that they are for the cookbook.
Thank you in advance!
Let me recommend an interesting book that I heard reviewed by Lyle Printing’s administrative assistant, Georgeanne, called The Prize Winner Of Defiance, Ohio; How My Mother Raised 10 Kids on 25 Words or Less, by Terry Ryan. It’s about a real, Ohio family and it describes growing up with 10 children whose mother makes a full – time job of entering contests to make ends meet for them. It sounds well worth “checking out.”
