Happy Holidays from Hazard!
You must all be busy baking and wrapping and sending Christmas greetings, for not a single guess came in on Item No. 668, so we’ll show it here again this week.
James Campbell of Moundsville, W.Va., shares the item with us, and it is a true mystery, purchased from a flea market 15 years ago. So far, Campbell writes, no one can say for sure what it does. He’s displayed it at the county fair and at the Marshall County historical museum to no avail. Surely, there’s someone out there in Hazard-land who can help.
We’ll have an early deadline of Thursday, Dec. 26, for our next issue, so we may not receive your mail in time, but don’t let that stop you from sending us a guess – we’ll just use it the following week.
