TORONTO, Ohio — The Barshoe Wranglers met recently at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds to finalize fair plans and paint the club’s trash can.

CHESTERVILLE, Ohio — America’s Country Farmers 4-H club met July 27 at the Chesterville Methodist Church.
Members agreed to have a food booth at a horse show in the fall, and there was discussion concerning the 4-H booth and the float for the fair.
Nate Bowman gave a demonstration, displaying his Japanese quail.
Members also congratulated the club’s state fair participants: Walker Fay, Brandt Fay and Jesse Costello.
The next meeting is Aug. 17th at the Snells’ home. Members will be doing animal demonstrations and working on the booth and float.

HIRAM, Ohio — On Aug. 3, the Auburn Swine Club met at the home of Nicki Lang in Newbury.
Members discussed the livestock sale meeting and the Department on Aging Farm Market Days, along with the Food Drive. Members also discussed what to expect at fair, the Aug. 4 poultry clinic.
Members also decided to purchase food for the food drive, rather than the Skillathon Breakfast donations. Club members also voted to donate $275 to the Aaron Hope Scholarship Fund.
Pictures for the buyer’s packets are due to Mrs. May by Aug. 23.
Pen set-up will be held at the fairgrounds at 8 a.m. Aug. 16, after which the club will build the two benches that have been ordered.
Nicki Lang, Caitlin Osborne, and Kevin Ward gave demonstrations.
The next meeting is 6 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Swine Barn at the fairgrounds.

EAST ROCHESTER, Ohio — The Lively Little Hoppers is a small 4-H club based in East Rochester, Ohio, led by advisers Sue Barrick, Carl Barrick and Cheryl Russell.
At this year’s Columbiana County Fair, club members showed the grand champion market lamb, grand champion dairy goat, reserve champion pygmy goat, reserve champion fryer rabbit, reserve champion show rabbit, and won lamb showman of showmen and novice showmanship honors in dairy and Boer goats.
