BURBANK, Ohio — Bull riding is the fastest growing spectator sport in the country and the crowds at Buckin’ Ohio prove its increasing popularity.
Buckin’ Ohio takes place on Creekbend Ranch in Burbank, Ohio. It’s a place where courageous cowboys compete against each other and take on some of the top bulls in the nation. The event also includes mutton bustin’, barrel racing and country music.
Dates for 2008 are June 28, July 26, Aug. 23 and Sept. 13. Gates open at 5 p.m. each day.
Buckin’ Ohio got its start in 2002 with the help of founder Denny Thorsell. About 800 people attended that year and since then, the event has grown every season. In 2007, there were more than 2,000 people in attendance at each Buckin’ Ohio event.
Owned by Denny, Eileen and Shawn Thorsell, Buckin’ Ohio’s three-person staff works hard to put on a family-oriented event that is exciting, entertaining and affordable.
Their goal is to keep the dream of being a cowboy and the nostalgia of the old West alive.
Buckin’ Ohio is located at 8154 Garman Road, Burbank, OH 44214.
