Hello from Hazard!
We heard from two more readers who correctly identified Item No. 833 as a valve seating, or grinding, tool. Our thanks to: Les Harold, and Gerald Fletcher of Sunbury, Ohio, for sending us their answer.
But still no responses on Item No. 834. Take one last look at it, because even if we don’t get an answer, it’s history. Its owner doesn’t know what it is, either, so it’s a true Hazard a Guess mystery.
We’ll throw in a new item, too, this week, just so you don’t’ get discouraged.
It comes from Joe Yanice of Mineral City, Ohio (he knows what it is, but just wants to see if many Hazard-ous readers do, too).
Think you know how it was used? Write to: Hazard a Guess, P.O. Box 38, Salem, OH 44460; or via e-mail to: editorial@farmanddairy.com. Please include your name, hometown, state for proper identification — your 15 minutes of fame in Hazard-land.
