Monroe County (Ill.) Farm Service Agency Executive Director Linda Mathew presents Joe Joe and his brother with FSA hats while introducing them to FSA State Executive Director Scherrie Giamanco. When a limo brought the Charles family into Monroe County, more than 2,200 balloons festooned the route, a junior high band, and more than 2,000 students and residents welcomed the family to their farm community. It was part of Joe Joe’s wish to be a farmer or a cowboy for a day.
