Hello from Hazard!
Wendell Cole of Lisbon, Ohio; P.R. Miller of Akron; and Ann Thompson of Raleigh, N.C. all responded to Item No. 826, which they identify as a needle punch for making hooked rugs.
Thompson has one in its original box and shares what hers says on the outside of the box: “Bluenose Rug Hooker: The simplest and Quickest Method of Making Hooked Yarn Rugs. A child can use it.”
She is missing the complete instructions, but since she makes hooked rugs, she says it’s very easy to use.
Our thanks to you three for solving Richard Talbert’s mystery. And our thanks to Richard for sending the photo to us.

Our newest item comes from Wayne Cooper of Fombell, Pa. Unfortunately, it’s another mystery item, as Wayne can’t tell us how it is used.
