Ingredients:
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz. whipped topping
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. cold butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 large egg
- 1½ tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- For serving apple slices, pretzel crisps or graham crackers
Directions:
- Combine cream cheese, whipped topping and powdered sugar in a bowl; beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Spread mixture along the bottom of a pie plate and refrigerate while you prepare the topping.
- Combine brown sugar, cold butter, corn syrup, pecans, vanilla extract, egg and salt in a saucepan. Bring mixture to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, and remove from heat. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- Stir and pour over the cream cheese mixture. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Serve with apple slices, pretzel crisps or graham crackers.
