First Place Ohio State Fair, recipe by Georgia Bishop
Ingredients:
- 1 box butter pecan cake mix
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ¾ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup crunchy peanut butter
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 cup quick cooking oats
- ½ cup M&M’s milk chocolate candies
- ½ cup vanilla chips
- 1 cup English toffee pieces
- 1 cup Butterfinger pieces
- 1 can prepared vanilla icing
- ½ cup smooth peanut butter
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- In a large bowl, beat cake mix, brown sugar, butter, peanut butter, vanilla and egg with an electric mixer until well combined. Stir in oats until combined. Stir in M&M’s, vanilla chips, English toffee pieces and Butterfinger pieces. Mix well.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are just golden brown. Cool on cookie sheet for 10 minutes. Remove from the pan.
- Mix frosting and peanut butter and spread on cookies.
