Hello from Hazard!
We’ll serve up a “leftover” guess on Item No. 662, which we unveiled last week as a mechanical jack – a versatile tool that was used as a wagon jack, buggy jack or bumper jack, as well as a fence stretcher or single wire stretcher, readers say.
Paul Walter of Forest, Ohio, said the wire stretcher and jack was called a “handyman,” and that models were made by the Chas. E. Benefiel Co. of Indianapolis, Ind.

Item No. 663 is a feed screw for a grinder, like a sausage grinder. It is the shaft that is turned by a hand crank and forces the materials through the grinder. This auger, shared by John Kusch of Westland, Mich., is a pretty big one.
We show our new item, Item No. 664, in an open position. The outside walls of this wire contraption also fold in toward the center, as well as straight out to a flattened position. Thanks to reader Jackie Moretz for submitting this item.
