CORTLAND, Ohio – To commemorate the spirit of Memorial Day, the Cortland-Bazetta Historical Museum at the Viets House has assembled a military display which will be exhibited into the month of June.
Featuring items on loan from area residents, the public is invited to tour the museum on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
Included in the display is a Civil War soldier’s pouch; a very large World War I picture of the 2nd Brigade, Ohio Infantry; a captured Nazi flag from World War II; uniforms from the U.S. Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force and other items.
The Viets Museum is located at 224 N. High St. and a $2 donation is requested.
