Sebring model railroad club to hold open house

SEBRING, Ohio – The Sebring Model Railroad Club will be holding its annual open house Nov. 11-12 and 18-19. The hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. all four days.



The Sebring Model Railroad Club has one of the largest and most complete model railroads in northeast Ohio. The club has been in existence since 1948 and currently has 45 members.



The club is located in the ex-Pennsylvania Railroad freight station at 216 E. Pennsylvania Avenue in Sebring, Ohio. The club has owned this building since 1974 and moved it to the present location in 1975.



The entire railroad has been converted to Digital Command Control. Both steam and diesel locomotives, equipped with Soundtraxx sound systems, will be run this year, with the emphasis on steam.



Admission is $2 for adults and children under 12 are admitted free. Refreshments will be available all four days.
