For many years, every morning I have taken my daily vitamins. My daughter, Karen, tells me what I should take and I follow her instructions.
I’m not really sure what they do for me, however, they don’t seem to hurt me so I will continue.
Today, I want to remind you of some B-vitamins that I can guarantee will work and make you feel better. They are “Bible Vitamins,” or what I call in today’s article, “B-vitamins.”
There is no end to how much I could write about today regarding the importance of God’s Holy Word, which we call the Bible.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”[Psalm 119:105].
B-vitamins never wear out. They last forever. “But the word of the Lord endureth forever” [1 Peter 1:25].
When you omit the reading of the bible, it is like running out of fuel in your automobile. You lose your spiritual strength, and soon you find yourself just jogging along about to stall out.
“Let the word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom” [Colossians 3:16]. Don’t try to jog your way into heaven. Make your goal, “victory with a margin” [Clayton Bailey].
The text that comforted the trouble soul of John Wesley was Mark 12:34, “And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, ‘Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.'”
My good friend, don’t forget to take your daily vitamins. Also, I remind you not to forget to take your B-vitamins, otherwise known as your “Bible-vitamins.”
It never grows old. It always gives you a fresh outlook on life, and it renews your spiritual vision. “In teaching me the way to live, it taught me how to die” [George Pope Morris]. THINK ABOUT IT!
