GREEN, Ohio — David Hill, 57, of Green, Ohio, died Dec. 1, 2016, after being overcome with carbon monoxide at his home. His wife, Shin, also died.
Mr. Hill was born April 8, 1959, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Herbert and Dolores Hill. A graduate of Hoover High School, he was the owner/CEO of Hill’s Supply, Inc, which had grown to provide dairy equipment, supplies and services to all of Ohio and parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Indiana, Michigan and New York. He is known for his dedication to the farmers and dairymen he served, and for his support of the communities of Green; Fisher, Pennsylvania; and French River, Ontario, Canada.
In addition to his work, which was his passion, Mr. Hill loved to read and travel, and was an avid ballroom dancer, and pilot. He was a member of the Flying Tigers Snowmobile Club and the Ohio Farm Bureau.
Mr. Hill is survived by his sister, Holly Mayernick; stepfather, Herbert “Doyle” Smith; step-daughters, Lucy Speerhas and Laura Edder; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews; an uncle, Roland Smith, and aunt, Susan Hawk; and 14 cousins.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at the Greensburg United Methodist Church, 2161 Greensburg Road, North Canton, Ohio, with Pastor Abby Auman officiating.
