Be kind to one another

“Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake hath forgiven you.”

— Ephesians 4:32.

Sometimes I think our world has lost contact with the word kindness. Do you know someone who is an especially kind person? When you hear the word kindness does some one particular immediately come to your mind?

How about when you hear the word unkind who comes to your mind? The person that makes my day better is the person who is kind. The one who is the opposite of kindness darkens my day.

If I have my choice I enjoy being with kind people. How about you? Do you like to be around kind people? I meet very few people if any who enjoy associating with unkind people.

Kind hearts are gardens;

Kind thoughts are roots;

Kind words are flowers;

Kind deeds are fruits.

Can you imagine the difference in our world today if we could revive the word kindness? I am sure a kind person would think twice before committing a crime. A real kind person would never say something to another person to purposely hurt another.

A kind person is tenderhearted; they care about others and do their best to lend a helping hand. A kind person is a forgiving person. They do not hold grudge or live their lives with chip on their shoulder.

When Jesus was crucified he could have condemned those who crucified Him. However, instead He said, “Father forgive them.” He was our example of kindness, love and compassion.

Christianity is more than just going to church. It is a new life in Christ. It is a Christ-like way of life.

“The ministry of kindness is a ministry which may be achieved by all men, rich and poor, learned and illiterate. Brilliance of mind and the capacity for deep thinking have rendered great service to humanity but by themselves they are important to dry a tear or mend a broken heart.”

Every day of your life is a good day to show kindness to your fellowmen. Enjoy this day, be kind to one another.

“Be ye kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another.”

— Romans 12:10.
