HARRISBURG, Pa. – It is difficult to ignore the recent tsunami devastation headlining the media. That disaster raises the question: What can be done in our own country, state, county and town to protect our animals in the event of a natural or manmade disaster?
Learning. At the Pennsylvania Farm Show, veterinarians, Penn State extension agents, emergency coordinators and many others, gathered to learn about the State Animal Response Team, the Pennsylvania State Response Team, and the County Animal Response Team.
The program included several key speakers and simulated group scenario activity.
