CHARDON, Ohio — The following Armchair Adventures Travelogues will take place at the Meyer Center in Big Creek Park, 9160 Robinson Road, Chardon Township.
Isle Royal Adventure: Jan. 15 from 1-2 p.m. Join presenters on a photo journey along the crystal clear waters and rugged shoreline of Isle Royale National Park.
Wild Views & Wildlife of Glacier National Park: Jan. 29 from 1-2 p.m. Attendees will visit Glacier National Park.
BIKE! Duluth to Newfoundland: Feb. 12 from 1-2 p.m. Russell resident Frank Schultz will share his 2,300-mile trip from the westernmost point on the Great Lakes to the easternmost point of land in North America, Care Spear.
Up Close and Personal in Kenya: Feb. 26 from 1-2 p.m. Attendees will “visit” a private Rhino sanctuary in Kenya.
In addition to a variety of photos and storytelling techniques, many presenters also bring maps, souvenirs or the backpacks right off their backs so people can see what it takes to take such a trip. These items are set up in the back of the room for pre- and post- meeting examination and questions.
