The Columbiana Soil and Water Conservation District is now accepting orders for their tree and fish sale.
This year we are offering a variety of trees and shrubs such as Honeyberries, White Flowering Dogwood, Norway Spruce, Red Oak, Chestnut and Eastern Redbud just to name a few of the 33 different varieties available. Prices range from packet to packet. The preorder deadline is April 15, 2016. Tree packets ordered through the program will be available for pickup at the SWCD office in Salem on Wednesday, April 20th through Friday, April 22nd from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. You may also stop in and browse the trees that are still available for sale during those dates. Mark your calendar!
The spring fish sale for local pond and lake owners in the area offers various fish species such as Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Hybrid Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch, Shell Crackers, Fathead Minnows, Japanese Koi and White Amur. The deadline for ordering fish will be April 1st and the fish will be available for pick up on Thursday, April, 7th at 1 p.m. at the SWCD office in Salem.
Anyone interested in purchasing trees or fish should call the district office at 330-332-8732 or toll free at 1-877-345-1198 to request prices and an order form. You can also stop in and pick up an order form at the office located at 1834-B South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, OH 44460.
