When the calendar turns to September, many people anticipate the beginning of autumn and the changing of leaves.
Smoky Mountains published an interactive map of the continental United States that shows when leaves are predicted to change their colors this year, ranging from Aug. 25 to Nov. 14. The map indicates when leaves will begin to change, when they’re at peak color and when they’re past peak.
The map projects that Northeast Ohio should see peak colors the week of Oct. 17, along with swaths of the Midwest, West and small portions of the South and Northeast. You can check out the map here.
